Engraving, 1595. Hollstein 202, first state before the inscription with the sitter's age and the date of the engraving, but with these written in in ink where they would later be engraved (another such impression, in the same hand, may be found in the Boijmans-van Beuningen collection).
An exceptionally fine impression with small margins all round. Touched slightly in the shading below the left hand and on the left collar in the same ink as the inscription, also with two small ink stains at top and bottom right corners. 153 x 110mm.
